Help a Retired Greyhound This Winter
Between now and the end of January, Electra Railway Graphics is supporting the Retired Greyhound Trust.
For each Ten Pounds spent, I shall donate One pound to the RGT.
The money will go towards caring for and re-homing ex-racing greyhounds who have been abandoned after they are no longer able to race.
Please take a minute or two to have a look at the RGT's website, which can be found here.
Full details of the appeal can be found on the Greyhound Page, here.
Coming Soon - Click here for details
Another much-requested model, I shall be producing clear-window decals for the popular Mark1 Sleeper. A familiar sight on mainline routes all over the country from thr 50s until the 1980s.
For details, click here.
Converted from ex-Gatwick Express Class 489 GLVs, these will be ideal for any modern Southern Region layout.
Available soon for £6.00 each.
For a larger version of this artwork, please click here.
The GWR Railcar artwork is nearly finalised and will now incorporate the skirting between the bogies, in order to give a more consistent finish.
I'd particularly welcome any input from GWR enthusiasts to suggest any further improvements that can be made. The odd bodyside angles have made this one of the most difficult coach overlays that I have ever attempted but I hope the end result is worth the effort!
Update 09/12/2007: The artwork has now been considerably re-worked with improvements made to the doors and underframe panelling. Many thanks to those who have offered my their kind help.
Update: The Crimson railcar will have smaller lettering than illustrated.
Introducing the Electra Heritage Range, which will incorporate any pre-nationalisation designs of locos, coaches or multiple units.
The first release will beGWR Railcar No.34, which was built exclusively for Parcels traffic from London Paddington in the 1940s. This kit converts the Graham Farish Railcar and includes full bodyside and windscreen decals. Note the window bars on the parcels doors and wooden elf-adhesive overlays for £5.00 a set or "Electra Plus" Decals with clear windows for £8.00 a set.
Now available are conversion kits for the Mark 1 Corridor Composite and Open Second in the popular Blue/Grey and Network SouthEast Liveries.
Soon to be followed by matching BSK and FK coaches.
Full details here.
For those modelling the 60s or 70s, I shall shortly be releasing decals to convert the Farish Mk1 into the experimental XP64 coaches with Open Second, Corridor Second and Corridor First coaches available. Watch this space!
Due to escalating costs an other supplier-related issues, I am temporarily withdrawing the complete kits for the Class 325 EMU and 153 / 155 DMU, until I am in a position to guarantee reliable and reasonable priced supply again.
I hope to have the 153 / 155 available again soon, especially with some of the new TOC liveries around the corner.
The Class 325 will re-appear next year in a much-improved form, featuring CAD-design, recessed side doors and a clear resin cab end. The revised kit will come complete with a RTR chassis, bogies, wheels, buffers and couplings.
I apologise to my customers for this move but the 325 has never been a big seller, mainly due to the lack of a suitable RTR power chassis.
Rather than promise something that's not in stock, it's only fair to all concerned to withdraw these for now.
Development work on the Class 166 masters is still proceeding.
I am still working actively with Bob Davis of N-Train on a new range of 313 and 317 based units for 2008 and the 325 will feature strongly.
Something different for the London area modeller...available now is the ex-Southern Region 4-TC trailer set in Metropolitan Railway maroon with red ends. This differs from the BR versions by having window bars fitted to prevent "flailing" in those tight LT tunnels.
The decals have clear windows are are in full colour with accurate crests, lining and window bars.
This set was used on many specials around the London Underground network and beyond, enjoying haulage by many types of locos, from 94xx Panniers to Class 20s and, of course, LT's own classic Bo-Bo Electric "Sarah Siddons".
The price for this unique set of decals is £18.00
The Metropolitan Bo-Bo Electric is now available as a one-piece resin nodyshell from Parkwood Models. Electra will shortly be producing decals for this loco to make the job of lining a little easier!
I don't currently have a web address for Parkwood but can provide contact details on request.
New London Transport Page created!
Bring your N Gauge Class 47s bang up to date with Electra's new Colas Rail packs. Consisting of complete bodyside, along with cab-side and door decals. Repainting will be minimal - roof, ends and around the handrails.
Each set will consist of enough decals to produce BOTH 47727 "Rebecca" and 47749 "Demelza", which are currently working water-cannon trains around the south-west of England. Separate nameplates printed on gloss card will be supplied.
Designed to fit the Graham Farish 47 - £8.00 per set. Orders being taken now!
You may have noticed the Electra Logo has changed slightly. This should now be rolled out across the website and will be progressively applied to all products. I've kept the InterCity-ish theme and incorporated a rail motif.
Bring your fleet right up-to-date with Electra's latest Class 158 releases!

Work has been progressing on the Class 313, with finalised designs now ready for the roof, sides and ends. It is planned that the sides and ends will be cast in CLEAR resin, with Electra Plus decal overlays for the livery - this kit will be something special., as the latest CAD image (above) shows.
The kits will consist of bodyshells, Electra Plus decals, underframe components, pantographs, TPM bogies, blackened wheels and RTR N-Train chassis. Non-powered versions will also be made available. As many liveries as possible will be produced, including, Blue/Grey, Network SouthEast, WAGN, Silverlink and FCC.
Later variants of the 313 will also be produced, with modification to the underframe components where necessary.
I do understand that this kit seems to be taking forever to come to fruition. Both Bob Davis and myself are working on this project in our spare time - of which there never seems to be enough!
I wish it was possible to give a firm release date but producing a complete working unit is a major undertaking and I hope that you find the wait worthwhile! It will be out when it's ready and right.
Work is also underway on the Class 317/1 "Bedpan" EMU, which will be to a similar specification to the 313. This will be the first of a new range of Mark Three-based units and will include the Class 455, 319, 456, 320, 321, 322 and the 210 DEMU!
Pending developments in the ready-to-run market, a Class 150 Sprinter DMU is also under consideration!
An extensive range of early Mark Two coaches is now on-line and available to order.
Currently available are examples of Mark 2 A, B, C and Z coaches in a wide variety of liveries from BR(S) Malachite Green to Regional Railways.
Prices start at £6.00 for one set of coach decals with clear windows. Please click here for details.
